Scholarships in UK

A wide range of Scholarships are offered by the British Universities and colleges as a financial aid which is meant for students as  partial or fully paid for their further education depending on the course and institution. UK Govt's Global scholarship programmes are awarded to outstanding scholars in and around the world for Master degrees. Scholarships assist students with limited means  to reach a high quality education.Most important criteria for this scholarship is a good academic score based on the eligibility criterion. This varies from case to case as per  the profile of each student. Some of the Study Abroad scholarships in UK are:

Chevening Scholarships

Chevening scholarships are awarded to outstanding intellectual students in and around from chevening eligible countries with leadership skills and outstanding performance in the corresponding areas. This is fully funded inclusive of flight charges, tuition and living expenses.

Commonwealth Scholarships and Fellowship

Commonwealth scholarships are meant for Fellowship and scholarships to students for their  Masters degree and PhDs in the UK from developing commonwealth countries.These are funded by the UK Dept. This dispenses airfare to and from the UK, tuition fees and thesis grant if any, initial arrival quota as well.This includes airfare, tuition fee and other personal maintaining allowance.

Gates Cambridge Scholarships

Gates  Cambridge Scholarships are awarded to outstanding applicants from outside the UK to do a Master degree at University of Cambridge which cover up the entire cost of studying at Cambridge and furnish additional funding as well.

Rhodes Scholarships at University of Oxford

This is the most eminent scholarship program in the world. These scholarships are granted for outstanding international students from chosen countries at  University of Oxford covering all University fees, personal allowance,health insurance coverage and flight charges to and from the student's home country. 

Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships

These scholarships are designed to attract overseas students planning to commence a PhD research in any field of study.

These are not school specific and are available to all those who apply in  Edinburgh Global Research Scholarships in the college of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.This will cover the difference between the tuition fee for a UK/ EU Graduate student and do not cover maintenance expenses.This awards are tenable for upto three years.

Denys Holland Scholarship at University College London

This aims to support UG students from any country who without the support of the scholarship would be unable to secure the funding required to study at UCL, and who can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union.This Scholarship worths £9,000 per annum and scholars may choose to use all or part of the scholarship to cover fees. 

University of Sussex Chancellor's International Scholarships

These scholarships are available in the majority of Sussex Schools which are offered by the academic performance and potentiality of international students for Post Graduate Degrees at the University of Sussex. This is offered for fifty percent of the tuition fees for one year.
